POLITICS IN INDIA

Politics is like a game,,

With no amount of shame.

For anything you got to achieve,

All you need is to deceive.

The Rambling speeches are always at befall,

The fake promises, no commitment at all.

Truth and ideologies is a part of theory,

Deceit and conspiracy is the call of the day.

Neither Masters Degree, nor Bachelors required,

Money and Power is all you need,

To surge ahead in the game of greed.

During elections the talk is about vote banks,

Henceforth it’s about accounts in foreign banks.

They cheat the people who made them victorious,

The power of finger is made hilarious.

They divide the people in name of caste and creed,

Gaining political advantage is their only need.

The common people got to take the responsibility,

To drive off the widespread irregularity.

Its time they come out of their dreams,

And make the country a better place to live in.

Happy Diwali

SMILE
Smile – A sine wave like curve on the face , as we put it in technical words. An expression that symbolizes happiness , contentment and enthusiasm. It is a wonder drug that can ward off any tension , fear or worry.

Smile has got its implications in many real life situations. For the rich, it comes out at the sight of wealth but for the poor it emerges at the sight of food. Smile is an embodiment of any achievement in our life. Smile also serves as a token of love to a person whom we care about.
But if you ask me, the above all definitions are void to me. To put it it in my words i have to tell you about a small incident. This Diwali i decided to go back home without giving any prior information about my arrival to my parents. As I reached there , all of a sudden , they got a pleasant surprise , and their SMILE spoke of their feelings and rejoice , and this gave me my new definition of smile.

Hence, now as i should put it, Smile is not confining the happiness to you but rather reaching out to others in any possible manner.

Hence in Cadbury’s language –इस दिवाली आप किसे खुश कर रहे हैं?
So keep smiling and spread happiness.

May your life light up with the dazzle of the shining lamps.

Happy Diwali !

Abhishek-Naam To Suna Hoga

The title may compel you to think of a romantic scene in which a Bollywood hero sends out flirtatious emotions to the heroine. The Dialogue goes as :Raj-Naam To Suna Hoga............. .Here I want to provide the disclaimer that neither am I a fan of that particular hero, nor do not wish to send out any flirtatious emotions to anyone.I just want to emphasize that fact that this particular Noun-Abhishek is so common in the Indian community that you would find this name in virtually every community , caste , state ,region ,locality........

A Google search confirmed that there are around 1,63,000              users named Abhishek in its database .The meaning of the word Abhishek is Tilak, which the hindus apply on the forehead as a mark of good omen.

My personal experience has been that every classroom that I have been to till date has had at least a pair sharing the name Abhishek. The Tragedy about having such a name is a situation wherein you have to call out your own name to reach out to a person sharing your name. Another funny situation arises when you call out such a name in a crowded gathering and you get multiple responses, which may leave you totally confused.

This message also goes out to other commonly used names in India as Jagjit , Manpreet ,Raj .........

My heartiest sympathy to those Special  poor souls.

IDENTITY CRISIS

IDENTITY CRISIS

The almighty made no difference at all,
The same blood flows through one and all.

God is one still varied names,
Devotion is the same but different lanes.

The barrier of caste divides us all,
Leading mankind to its unholy befall.

Hindus and Muslims are ever face to face,
Though  belonging to the same race.

They need no reason to fight,
Not ever using the power of might.

Violence and killing is all they get,
In this brutal war of hatred.

One may belong to Bombay or Bihar or Bengal,
But none is an Indian amongst us all.

For us to have a sustainable Future,
Brotherhood and love are the feelings to nurture.

The people got to use their might,
Keeping fruitful future in sight.

The Prevailing force needs to be the thread of unity,
For a amicably secular  society.

RAGGING IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIFE

Ragging-the word itself brings some unworthy and unpleasant thoughts to the mind. Ragging is considered to be the evil
in most engineering and medical colleges, striking a chord of menace in the college atmosphere.

But as a matter of fact, ragging is not confined to the colleges itself,it is very much a part of our day to day life.We all get ragged in our own lives in some way or the other. Some get ragged by their boss, some by policemen, some by their husbands/wife (depending on the more dominant one),some by politicians, and some by their neighbors.

These forms of ragging don’t hog the limelight but are definitely more distressful and unfortunate ones. Now lets elaborate on the issue of household ragging. Consider a situation where in a typical Indian household, the daughter is brought in front of their would be in-laws for fixture of a marriage proposal. Now here the victim is the nervous daughter anxious as if appearing for a job interview. Various questions are fired as : Do you cook?, How homely are you? What are your hobbies? Can you manage the house?........etc. etc..And the worst part of the story is that depending on how the poor girl performs during the ragging ceremony, her future is thereby decided.

Another real life situation of household ragging is the case where in the old and hapless parents are tortured by their
own children and eventually thrown out of their homes as a reward of the love and care they showered on their
children all lifelong.

The common man gets ragged at the hands of the administration, the politicians, the police ,who make a menace of
his/her ordinariness. The people also get ragged by the legal system in which often decade is inconcequential to
reach a judgment.

The people are quick to point out the menace of ragging in the colleges. But when will we all revolt against the social evils which rag us off our our indivisuality and our rights. Its high time that we take the initiative to raise the voice for a evil free and fear independent society.

HALLA BOL!!!!!

THE WOMAN OF MY LIFE

I tell you now about the girl of my life
She meant  all to me,but was not my wife

I still remember the day i first saw her
Her sassy looks completely took me over

Her eyes embodied a sense of divinity
Her smile drove the soul to eternity

We sat together and chatted day and night
Her funny actions gave me a sense of delight

She would never say a word
But shared all my sorrows

One fateful day,we went out for a walk
It was the usual gossip and talk

She was very happy that very day
Hopping and smiling along the way

The last voice i heard of her was her scream
I rushed to her,but it was too late
Poor LILY had to bestow to her fate

She was run over by a motorbike
And God took away the meaning of my life

Everything around me now had no sense at all
With a grieved heart ,i was seated in the hall
It was just then that i heard a shriek call

I opened the door and to my delight
I saw a little kitty, twinkling in the twilight

Life traced its path back to happy ways
But still i remember those enjoyful days

Her unpresense brings tears to the eyes
LILY was truly “The Girl Of My Life”

At this point of time i would like you to know that i have written this poem in rememberence of my six month old kitten who died in a road accident about one month ago.

This poem is dedicated to the students who are headed towards a new journey of their respective lives.
                               "FRIENDS"

When friends get apart,happiness departs

The world seemed to be in a fix,
And now its the time to switch

Its the time to move on,
To fulfill the responsibilities
 bestowed upon.

Being with friends, filled the soul with joy,

Gave a time to cheer, some moments to enjoy.
We meet online,we talk online,

But still walking hand in hand was good and fine.

The evenings we spent together was all so sweet,
We dont now get to meet,so we do the TWEET.
Whenever i miss them,i give them a call,
But i miss their smile,a heaven's befall.

Oh god! return me those days, those happy ways,

The world so fast,no time to rest,
My College days were SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

For The Students of My College

WHITE PAPER-On the ruckus at HIT

Phew! What a dramatic week we had at hit this navratra. The students of hit made sure that we had the most dramatic season of the festival this year around. I have embarked on the term “festival” as i wish to bring out to you the manner in which we celebrated it this year. Till last year we used to burst crackers, this year we blasted windowpanes. It was last summer that we chanted prayers ,this year we hurled slangs. Normally before a festival, in a typical Indian household the home is cleaned up to invite the lord, but the family at hit destroyed their house on the festival eve.Let the definations now be made clear. The family here refers to the students and teachers of hit who destroyed the ambience this time around.

The ides of march was equally brutal for our college as it was for Julius Caesar.Just as in Ceasar’s case , he was betrayed by his close friends,we similarly betrayed our own college.Caesar was stabbed at the back by his councillors in the name of patriotism, and we destroyed our college at the death of night in the context of resentment.

But to my friends at hit,i would like to put forward just one question:What if people start destroying their houses when theres a problem within??.I guess that day we’ll have the world rendered homeless.

I don’t want to be particularly harsh on the students as a clap requires a pair of hands to make a sound. When the son makes a mistake,it is the duty of the father to advise him right, give him proper guidelines for the future. But does the father nearly kills his son just to show that he was wrong????
The obvious answer to the above question is surely in negation. And this was what was expected from one of the most experienced and respected faculty of our college.

So what both the students and the college authority did was incorrect .But unfortunately the college had to bear the brunt for the mistakes of the two.

As i was thinking about the whole episode over and over again,I just struck across the principal cause of all evils. And The Reason which I think is the missing of a very essential parameter.and that parameter is:LOVE.

LOVE , a four letter word for most of us but has the strongest and purest connection between any two species. It is this parameter which is missing from our lives. The students don’t love their teachers and equally so the teachers don’t love their students. One cannot even in the wldest of dreams think of hitting his dear ones ,let alone doing so with weapons. But such an act was performed. Why??? because the bond of love was missing.

One cannot justify even pelting a small stone at his/her house. But in this case the whole house was run over, just because the feeling of love for the college was missing.

So what was the bond that held us along the whole path of life till now??That bond was respect, not in the true sense but as a fake commodity. The Students always respected their college, faculty members but never loved them. The vice versa case is for the faculty members as well.

So our ideal behaviour towards each other should be like in a manner that invites love and not just respect.when love is there ,respect is bound to come by.

With these words i wish to conclude my views about the unhappening incident for our college.and i surely wish that i would never have to have this feeling of Deja vu in the coming future.

LOVE
Abhishek(Singh)
