The Mobile Phone.....

Ensuring everybody woke up on time , was a part of my daily routine.
Till one fine day I was fired as the Mobile Phone made its way into the scene.

While everyone got busy with their new found gadget.
My alarms kept on buzzing alone in the store room's closet.

Next to join me was my good friend Football and the Sporting Kits ,
As the children now gained pleasure in exercising their finger tips.

I next warmly embraced the DVD player and Radio Set in my Company.
As the mesmerising mobile left no scope for others to exist in symphony.

The romance of the photo rolls and camera slowly faded out,
As crisp and clear images on the mobile got rolled out.

One day I was shocked to see the TV remote as the latest casualty ,
He sobbingly explained Evil Mobile's  advancement into the one stop commodity

Earlier my ticking sound got subdued in the house by the laughs and emotions.
But now it gained prominence as the Mobile did dry out the conversations.

The vision of "Connecting People" inspired the Mobile Phone's invention.
The farthest did get closer , while people around struggle to gain attention.

The poem is a satirical insight as to how the  mobile phone made us forget the things we couldn't imagine our lives without. The alarm clock describes it's pain as it was the first victim of the Mobile Revolution.
